
Craig Anderson
As Vice President of Innovation for BayCare, a $6.5 billion not-for-profit health system serving the greater Tampa Bay community with 16 hospitals, Craig leads the enterprise Innovation strategy, driving the exploration and adoption of transformative technologies that enhance patient care, empower care teams, optimize operational performance, and drive clinical advancements. Under his leadership, BayCare has advanced initiatives including artificial intelligence, robotics, voice technologies, virtual reality, hospital room of the future, and many other areas. He has spearheaded strategic collaborations with Apple, Amazon, Oracle, Uber and multiple high-growth tech companies, bringing cutting-edge solutions to the health system. Craig’s team is shaping the future of smart hospitals, implementing innovations such as autonomous delivery robots, Amazon Just Walk Out technology, and next-generation patient and provider experiences.
Craig’s unique skill set balances strong business acumen with hands-on technical expertise including hardware and software development, business operations, and team leadership. Before joining BayCare, he spent over a decade at Accenture, leading teams in consulting efforts across healthcare technology, insurance, medical devices, and aerospace, helping clients navigate complex challenges and build alliances with top technology companies.
That experience led him to co-found HeadRehab, a technology company using virtual reality to advance concussion management, neuroscience research, and neuro-clinical applications. As Chief Operating Officer, Craig led operations and business development while shaping the company’s product strategy and evolution. His work in the field earned him invitations to speak at national conferences, including the NFL Combine, SXSW, HIMSS, and STREAM Health.
